AceShowbiz - Joyner Lucas is showing support for Kanye West amid the latter's antics. To pay tribute to the "Famous" rapper, the Twenty Nine signee released a new single called "Ye Not Crazy" and its official music video on Thursday, March 31.
Joyner goes all out in defending Ye. He even recreates the Yeezy designer's famous masked looks from his "Donda" shows for the visuals. The 33-year-old emcee additionally raps on top of a Sherp ATV. At one point, the hologram of his and the billionaire's faces show up together.
"How do you spеll 'Crazy'? G-E-N-I-U-S/ How do you spell 'Pay me?' IRS/ What you know about mental hеalth when you live in hell and you out of meds/ What the f**k is a meltdown, when my meltdown's on a private jet?" the Worcester native raps. "Labels ain't wanna sign the check/ Then I got on my Ye s**t, turned every 'No' to a solid 'Yes.' "
"Hold up, Ye's not crazy/ Even if they try to cancel me, that ain't gon' phase me/ Yeah, I sin, God forgave me/ How the f**k I'm gon' change the world if they gon' change me?," he continues in the chorus. "Ye's not crazy, well, maybe I am."
Kanye drew backlash a few weeks ago for harassing his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson. He lashed out at Trevor Noah by hurling racial slur for speaking against him amid his drama with the new couple.
Following Ye's attack against Trevor, the Grammys decided to remove him from the 2022 event. However, it was recently unveiled that Ye may still be performing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena as he is having "conversations" with the Recording Academy.
HITS Daily Double additionally reported that Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Lady GaGa will also perform at this year's ceremony, joining BTS (Bangtan Boys), Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Cynthia Erivo, Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow among others.
