AceShowbiz - So are they dating or not? The Weeknd appeared to further fuel romance rumors between him and Angelina Jolie after he released a new song called "Here We Go...Again" featuring Tyler, the Creator.
The 31-year-old unleashed the track on Friday, January 7 along with its album "Dawn FM". The song has stolen people's attention after they noticed a lyric that seemingly a reference to the "Eternals" actress.
"And my new girl, she a movie star/ My new girl, she a movie star/ I loved her right, make her scream like Neve Campbell," the Canadian crooner sings. "But when I make her laugh, swear it cures my depressin' thoughts."
Fans have since taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. One person in particular gushed, "Girl The Weeknd is putting out a song about Angelina Jolie and saying that she's his girlfriend???? Oh my god that is the most romantic thing a man could ever do to me YOU GO GIRL ANGIE IM ROOTING FOR YOU!"
Another wrote, "The Weeknd definitely talking about Angelina Jolie in Here We Go Again." A third individual wondered, "The Weeknd says his girls a movie star so he's really dating Angelina Jolie then??"
The Weeknd and Angelina were first linked romantically in July 2021 after they were caught enjoying dinner together in Los Angeles. In September, they were spotted walking side-by-side as they left an Italian restaurant in Santa Monica, Giorgio Baldi.
The rumored couple allegedly spent two and a half hours inside a private section of the eatery. The "Save Your Tears" hitmaker and the Oscar winner were seen hopping into the backseat of his waiting black SUV. They then drove to his $70 million Bel-Air mansion.
Angelina and The Weeknd have yet to confirm whether they are an item. However, a source has told E! News that "they are not dating." About their meetings, the insider shared, "[They] have been recently talking about partnering on a few humanitarian projects together… He loves talking about movies and the art form."
The Weeknd was previously linked to several famous ladies, including model Bella Hadid, fellow singers Selena Gomez and Rosalia. Angelina, on the other hand, has been married three times. She was married to Jonny Lee Miller in 1996, Billy Bob Thornton in 2000 and Brad Pitt from 2014 to 2019.
