The 'Selling Tampa' star describes the former football player as 'a great soulmate' when discussing why she decided to date her now-fiance despite his previous domestic violence case.

AceShowbiz - Chad Ochocinco's fiancee is making it clear that she isn't concerned about the former football player's past. In a new interview, Sharelle Rosado said that she believed her now-fiance deserves redemption after his bitter past with Evelyn Lozada.

"It wasn't a concern," the "Selling Tampa" star said of her fiance's previous domestic violence case with his ex-wife, Evelyn, during the interview with Page Six published on Thursday, December 16. "You never know what goes on between things -- I don't want to speak on that because I wasn't there, but Chad is a great person."

Sharelle elaborated, "People go through things, people make mistakes, and you learn from them. If you base things off of mistakes that people made then you'll never make it in life." The 34-year-old reality star stressed, "Nobody is perfect."

Sharelle, who officially began dating Chad in 2020 after she slid into his DMs and sent heart-eye emojis, said that her partner "went through what he needed to go through to get to where he's at today." She then gushed over her beau, "He's a great guy overall and I respect him. He's a great father, a great person, a great soulmate and I love him."

Sharelle went on to note that the former wide receiver was always her "favorite athlete" and she would always describe him as her ideal man. The Allure Realty broker pointed out, "Never in a million years did I think we would be together today."

Sharelle made her reality TV debut on Netflix's "Selling Tampa" on Wednesday. Chad was also featured in only a few scenes of the show. Of her partner's brief appearances, Sharelle said, "I didn't want people to think he was the reason why I got this show."

"I wanted to focus on mainly my agents, myself and my business, and it's not about Chad right now," Sharelle explained. "He has his own thing going on and he supports me from afar and the same here. I support him."

The couple is now expecting their first child together. Sharelle also has three other children from a previous relationship, while Chad has seven kids with six other women. The expecting parents have been in a "long-distance relationship" between Miami, where Chad resides full time, and Tampa, where Sharelle has her realty.

"We still haven't decided [where we are going to settle down]," the Netflix star told the outlet. "We have my house in Tampa and are building a house in Miami. We'll just travel back and forth, it's only a three-hour drive."

As for Chad's rocky past, he was arrested in 2012 and sentenced to 12 months probation after allegedly head-butting his then-wife after she found a receipt for condoms. Days later, Evelyn filed for divorce, citing the marriage was "irretrievably broken." After finalizing the proceedings, the "Basketball Wives" star said she and the former NFL pro were already "cool" with each other and she had "no ill will toward him."
