In a new interview, the Louisiana rapper claims that he has no issue with the LGBTQIA+ community while praising Big Freedia, who previously publicly defended him, in the process.

AceShowbiz - Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie) still insists that he's not homophobic despite his controversial comments on Lil Nas X. In an interview with VladTV, the Louisiana rapper claimed that he has no issue with the LGBTQIA+ community while praising Big Freedia in the process.

Of the "Make It Jigle" raptress, Boosie said, "She understand me. You can't have gay people around you working, dealing with millions of dollars if you hate them." He was referring to Freedia's remarks in which she said that Boosie couldn't be homophobic because he worked with gay people in his movie before.

"You can't have gay people--it doesn't work like that in real life. You know, in real life. We from Louisiana, gay motherf**kers everywhere," Boosie continued. "The killers gay! They got killers gay, n***a! Killers will kill you down there, n***a! It ain't never been about no gay s**t, it's 'bout the level of respect."

In an interview back in October, Freedia suggested that Boosie isn't homophobic because he only targeted Nas X in the rant, not the entirety of the LGBTQIA+ community. The "Rent" musician told TMZ at the time, "I don't think Boosie is homophobic, I just think he has a problem with Lil Nas." She also noted that Boosie has worked with "lots of gay folks" in his movie "Struggle", saying, "He has a whole gay scene in jail where he has like, a lot of the gay guys from Louisiana representin'."

"When people get upset they say whatever's on they mind and on they heart. But, they keep trolling each other. It's wasted energy this going back and forth," she continued.

Catching wind of Freedia's comments, Boosie took to his Twitter account to applaud the raptress for coming into his defense. "THANK U @bigfreedia," so Boosie wrote on the blue bird app. "N THOSE WHO WHO THINK I HATE GAYS R LOST [double exclamation mark emoji] but I'm go let y'all keep taking up for someone who says 'F**K YOUR KIDS' SMH #sad #sad."
