The former New York Yankees slugger marks his first Turkey Day celebration after calling it quits with Jennifer Lopez with a family dinner which is also attended by his ex-wife's husband Angel Nicolas.

AceShowbiz - Alex Rodriguez celebrated Thanksgiving with his loved ones. The former Yankee slugger admitted to feeling "grateful" after spending Turkey Day with his family, including his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis and his daughters.

Taking to his Instagram account on Thursday, November 25, the MLB legend shared a series of photos that saw him posing with his daughters, 17-year-old Natasha and 13-year-old Ella, Cynthia and her husband Angel Nicolas, as well as the athlete's mother Lourdes during the family dinner. "Happy Thanksgiving! [love emoji] #Grateful," he captioned the snaps.

In one photo, Alex sat beside his 48-year-old former spouse at the table, which was set with a decorative floral centerpiece. Another snap showed the retired MLB athlete planting a kiss on his daughter's hand as she sipped from a glass. The exes later posed for pictures with their kids.

Alex and Cynthia tied the knot in 2002 after meeting at a Miami gym in the late '90s. Their daughter Natasha was born in 2004 and Ella arrived four years later. In July 2008, the former psychology teacher filed for divorce, citing "emotional abandonment" and "marital misconduct" as the reason for their split in court documents.

Alex's Thanksgiving post came a year after the sports star celebrated the November holiday with now-ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez in 2020. At the time, he shared a sweet tribute and reminder of the "special meaning" of that year's Thanksgiving as he reposted a picture with the "On the Floor" hitmaker and her twins Emme Maribel and Maximilian David, alongside his daughters.

"This year, more than ever, #Thanksgiving carries a special meaning for all of us," Alex wrote at the time. "Even in the most challenging of times, we need to count our blessings and celebrate what we have. Be thankful for family. Be thankful for friends. Be thankful for the people who make a difference in our lives." He ended his caption, "Enjoy your feast today and have a safe and happy holiday!"

After a two-year engagement, Alex and the "Hustlers" actress decided to part ways. In a statement shared in April this year, the exes said that they're "better as friends and look forward to remaining so."
