Although he tried to stay in shape for his own-well being, 'The Last Duel' star admits he did not hold onto the routine he did as a student at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York.

AceShowbiz - Adam Driver doesn't work out as hard as he did when he was in college, but still exercises to maintain his mental health. When "The Last Duel" star was a student at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, he would run five miles and do 100 push-ups every day, but not any more.

"Oh, f**k no. I don't do that anymore because my body won't allow it," he told Vogue.com. "My fitness is mostly based on the job. I just had to do something where I had to gain weight, so my work kind of dictates it."

But the main reason he likes to hit the gym is for his own well-being. "I try to stay in shape. I kind of need it. For me, it's…not therapy, necessarily, but I kind of need to move and exercise for sanity. I try to do something (physical) as much as possible."

Although he's known for his intense fight scenes in the "Star Wars" films and "The Last Duel", he was surprised to find filming an advertisement for Burberry Hero fragrance just as demanding.

In the sexy ad, which caused a social media stir when it debuted in July 2021, he races a horse towards the ocean, with slow-motion shots of both swimming underwater, before the two seemingly blend together and return to the beach as a centaur.

He signed off for the gig because it was being directed by "Sexy Beast" director Jonathan Glazer, but it was more of a challenge than he anticipated.

"I like his films and what they presented to me initially seemed really ambitious and exhausting. It seemed like a challenge," he explained.

"I didn't approach it any differently than a regular film role, even though it was a commercial. When we got to shoot it, I'm so glad I did what I did because I think I underestimated how physical it would be... Every shot was ambitious and really exhausting but, hopefully, worth it."
