AceShowbiz - While many come against Travis Scott (II) in the wake of Astroworld tragedy, the rapper found support in Erykah Badu. The "Next Lifetime" singer took to Twitter to send a kind message for the "SICKO MODE" rapper.
"Bless you @trvisXX. Safe Journey to all the souls. I'm so sorry," the legendary artist wrote on the blue bird app on Tuesday, November 9. Her tweet prompted someone to clown her, writing, "NURSE SHES OUT AGAIN!!! To that, Eryka clapped back, "Fuk u ho."
Some others, meanwhile, slammed Eryka for her support for Travis. "It would have been better to have said nothing," one person said. "You such a weird b***h," another person added, while one user noted, "Ma'am… read the room."
"Why bless Travis Scott??? I think you got it backwards. Blessed the souls...," a confused fan wrote. Another user accused Erykah of being "tone deaf," saying, "why is this b***h so tone deaf always on the wrong side of everything."
Eight people died and many were injured after the crowd sruged forward at Travis' Astroworld Festival in Hoston, Texas on Friday night, November 5. While Travis tried to stop his concert several times, telling the crowd to make space for a person who was unconscious, he was not aware that people were dying that night. He also reportedly was never told about the mass casualty as he went straight to Dave & Buster's after the concert.
"Travis didn't know the severity of the situation when he arrived at the party," a source claimed, adding, "as far as timing, this remains consistent with the fact that no one including the police had publicly confirmed the gravity of the events that had taken place."
In an Instagram video, he said, "I'm honestly just devastated. Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that's going on, you know I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need. My fans really mean the world to me. I always just want to leave them with a positive experience. I could just never understand the severity of the situation."
