AceShowbiz - Drake doesn't seem to dwell too long on the Astroworld tragedy. Just hours after breaking his silence on the crowd crush, the Canadian superstar reportedly hit a strip club in Houston, Texas, the same city where the weekend show took place.
It seems like the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker had a lot of fun and was feeling a little more generous that night as he reportedly threw close to a million dollars. "They saying #drake went to the strip club in Houston and threw like a milly," DJ Akademiks captioned a video shared on Instagram.
In the clip, a lot of people, mostly women, sat in a sea of cash as they were counting the bills. "Say, thanks, Drake!" one man was heard saying in the video, instructing the girls who obediently followed his order. The person who shared the footage wrote over it, "Drunk & tied boss! Drake SMH."
Drake had been performing at the 2021 Astroworld Festival on Friday, November 5 as a surprise guest with Travis Scott (II) before the stampede occurred. Eight people were killed and hundreds were injured in the incident, which has resulted in several lawsuits by some injured concertgoers. Drizzy is named as a co-defendant along with Travis and Live Nation in one of the lawsuits.
It took Drizzy two days before he addressed the tragedy. "I've spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy," he wrote on his Instagram Story on late Monday. "I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself."
"My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering," he added. "I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can, May God be with you all."
