The talk show host's former spouse reportedly purchased the $80,000 diamond engagement ring for his alleged mistress in 2020, months before the TV hostess started experiencing health issues.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' ex-husband is ready to walk down the aisle for a second time. Kevin Hunter has gotten engaged to his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson amid "The Wendy Williams Show" host's health crisis.

On Tuesday, October 26, a source close to the former television executive told The Sun that he recently got down on one knee to ask Sharina for her hand in marriage. Adding more details, the informant claimed that Wendy's ex-husband spent $80,000 on the diamond rock for his baby mama. The ring was allegedly purchased back in 2020, months before Wendy started experiencing health issues.

An expert told the publication that the 36-year-old's ring is around four carats with a "round center diamond set in an intricate setting." It's also said that the band sparkles with "a three row-pave, while the center stone is surrounded by a diamond halo."

The engagement news came a year after Kevin's divorce from the talk show host was finalized. In the divorce filing, Sharina was accused of playing a major role in their split after 22 years of marriage.

The talk show host slapped Kevin with legal papers after discovering Kevin had knocked up Sharina and was shacking up with her in a New Jersey home. She cited Kevin's love child as being too much for her to handle or work through with him.

"I've known about her almost since the beginning. I've known that Kevin is a serial cheat. The first time I found out was while I was pregnant with our son on bedrest," Wendy dished after leaving Kevin. "This girl wasn't the only one. She just happens to be the one who kept his baby," she spilled.

After finalizing his divorce, Kevin moved out of the New Jersey mansion he shared with Wendy. An informant said that he "is living with Sharina and their baby" in Boca Raton, Florida. The source added, "They're just really happy together, they have moved on from all the drama in New Jersey with his marriage."

As for Wendy, she's currently recovering from "serious" health complications and taking a break from her daytime show. Amid her absence, the producers on the show were reportedly scrambled as they decided to pay people to fill in empty seats in the studio.

According to Onset Productions website, the show offered $75 cash to "non-union, vaccinated people to sit in the studio" when Whitney Cummings guest-hosts the talk show. "The Wendy Williams Show is the provocative, must-see talk show in daytime," the message read, before adding, "$75 CASH incentive, given same day (3 hrs)."

In the Monday, October 25 episode of the show, Whitney sent her well-wishes to Wendy. "It is completely surreal to be here. I just want to say thank you to Wendy for letting me guest host. What an honor," the 39-year-old actress said during the "Hot Topics" segment.

"Nobody could ever replace you," Whitney continued, after many fans expressed their disapproval as the show's "not the same" without Wendy. "We all miss you, we wish you well, we cannot wait to see you back in your purple chair very, very soon. So we miss you and we love you."

Season 13 of the show was originally scheduled to premiere on September 20, but it had to be delayed after Wendy tested positive for COVID-19. Following her diagnosis of the deadly virus, she was hospitalized for "psychiatric services."
