Katie Price Caught Shopping in First Public Outing Since Entering Rehab Following Car Crash

The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant is seen having a solo shopping trip less than a mile from her rehab center, The Priory, after she pleads guilty to drink-driving following the accident in Sussex.

AceShowbiz - Katie Price has been spotted for the first time since she checked herself into rehab following the car crash near her house in Sussex. In her first public outing, the former "Celebrity Big Brother" contestant was caught having a solo shopping trip.

The 43-year-old was spotted in South West London three weeks after she checked herself into a rehabilitation clinic, The Priory, since pleading guilty to drink-driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance following the accident. In photos obtained by The Sun, she could be seen strolling into a beauty salon and toting shopping bags.

For her outing, Katie seemingly left her face bare. She was pictured wearing bright pink tracksuit bottoms teamed with a white jumper. She also left her long blonde hair down in a straight style.

An eyewitness told the publication that Katie looked "well and happy." The informant added, "She was vaping at the time and walking between shops browsing, it all looked very relaxed." The source also told the outlet that she was shopping for her mom, Amy, who recently celebrated her 69th birthday, and that she's "making good progress" with her recovery.

Katie was involved in a single-car accident that left her BMW flipped on its side near her home in Sussex in late September. Following the crash, she was arrested and later pleaded guilty on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs and using a motor vehicle in a public place without third-party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.

Following the incident that nearly took her life, Katie was rushed to hospital. A few hours later, her family issued a statement on Katie's Instagram page, begging fans to understand that Katie was "unwell." The post read, "As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate's wellbeing and overall mental health."

Katie's best friend Michelle Heaton was also said to be worried about Katie's mental and health condition following the drink-drive arrest. A source claimed, "Michelle is desperately worried about Katie and wants her to get help. Katie saved her life, now she wants to repay the favor." The source added that the "Liberty X" singer saw Katie one week before the crash and knew something "wasn't right."

The so-called inside source went on to add that Michelle had spoken to Katie's mother about her fears. "Michelle has known Katie a long time and has begged her to go back to rehab to kick her demons for good," the source explained.

"She's been on the phone to Katie to send her love and try and talk sense into her," the insider further elaborated. "Katie's mom agrees with Michelle. They all just want Katie to get healthy again."
