"Getting Good at Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be" will chronicle the singer and actress' journey from nobody to "American Idol" favourite to country star.

Alaina will offer insight into her career and the personal struggles she has had to deal with along the way, like an eating disorder and the death of a loved one.

The book will feature a foreword written by Trisha Yearwood.

Alaina has a busy second half of 2021 - she will star in a new Hallmark Channel movie in September, and hit the road with Florida Georgia Line on their I Love My Country Tour.

Since graduating from "American Idol", Lauren Alaina has released two studio albums, "Wildflowers" in 2011 and "Road Less Traveled" in 2017, and at least three extended plays, a self-titled one in 2015 as well as "Getting Good" and "Getting Over Him" in 2020.

This year, the singer/songwriter was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, thanks to "One Beer", her collaboration with with Hardy and Devin Dawson.

She is currently working on her third studio installment and previously posted a picture of her in a singing booth while holding her dog Opry. She teased, "Opry says, 'Oh HELD yeah. My mommy's third album is a HOLD new level.' Happy #nationalpuppyday to my sweet girl."
