AceShowbiz - Lauren Alaina is adding self-help guru to her resume after announcing plans to release a new book.
"Getting Good at Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be" will chronicle the singer and actress' journey from nobody to "American Idol" favourite to country star.
Alaina will offer insight into her career and the personal struggles she has had to deal with along the way, like an eating disorder and the death of a loved one.
The book will feature a foreword written by Trisha Yearwood.
