After Danny Hernandez Sr. revealed he has not received any financial support from his hip-hop star son, the 'Gooba' rapper explains his stance to friend DJ Akademiks.

AceShowbiz - Tekashi 6ix9ine has no interest in helping his biological father out of homelessness because he "abandoned" the rapper as a baby.

Danny Hernandez Sr. recently revealed he's been living in a shelter for the past two years, and issued a public appeal to his hip-hop star son for a little financial assistance.

However, the "Gooba" MC doesn't see why he should support the man who failed to look after his family upon Tekashi's birth 25 years ago, and he's taken aim at the media for trying to cast him in a bad light.

Speaking to his friend DJ Akademiks, Tekashi said, "Everybody knows I was abandoned at birth. Everybody knows that my biological father abandoned me at birth."

"Right now, he's in a shelter smoking crack. The story of me not giving money to a crackhead who abandoned me at birth is getting more publicity than the positive things. Why? Because it's a trend to hate me."

Tekashi previously revealed he didn't meet his father until he was nine years old and hadn't seen him since his school days until Hernandez, Sr. showed up in court in December 2019 as his son was sentenced for gang-related charges.

He received a two-year sentence, minus time already served, but was released from prison in April 2020 and allowed to complete his punishment on home confinement due to the COVID crisis.

Weeks earlier, Tekashi's father claimed to have been living in a homeless shelter for two years. "Because I don't have an apartment, he doesn't know that I'm in the shelter," he told Page Six when met on the street. "Now he's going to know I've been here for, what, two years already?"
