When speaking about her collaboration with founders Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao, the 'Lose You to Love Me' hitmaker explains why she enjoys exploring different color options.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is helping fans make a stylish splash this summer by designing a capsule swimwear collection.

The "Come & Get It" hitmaker has joined forces with La'Mariette founders Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao to help create six new pieces of swimwear for the brand, which is all about "celebrating the fact that all bodies are beautiful."

"It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because [the founders] and I love being outside so much," the singer shared in a statement, explaining she enjoyed exploring different color options from her typical wardrobe style.

"After going through swatches, my favorite color was purple; I wanted to stay away from colors I'm used to like red and white," she continued.

"Purple felt different for me. And we added pops of color like green and neons here and there; it really becomes your own suit, however you wear it."

The new collection, which launches on Saturday, July 3, features a one-piece suit, a bralette and a triangle top, two different bikini bottoms, and a sarong, all featuring a tie-dye print. It also comes in a wide range of sizes.

The pop star has been a fan of the company's designs and message for some time - she previously posed in a zip-up one-piece, aptly named the Selena, in September 2020 when she showed off the scar from her kidney transplant for the first time.

"Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through...and I'm proud of that," she captioned the image. "[Theresa] - Congratulations on what you're doing for women, launching @lamariette whose message is just that...all bodies are beautiful."
