AceShowbiz - Wedding bell is ringing for Luke Hemmings and his fiancee Sierra Deaton. On Tuesday, June 8, the 5 Seconds of Summer member made use of his Instagram account to share exciting news with his friends and fans that he's been engaged to the love of his life for some time.
The "Youngblood" hitmaker treated his followers to a slew of pictures taken from the magical moment in an intimate setting where he popped the question to his lady. According to PEOPLE, the musician proposed to his longtime girlfriend during their romantic trip to Malibu, California back in February.
One of the photos saw Luke putting large diamond ring on her finger as the two smiled and looked into each other's eyes. Meanwhile, another snap featured the now-engaged couple, who started dating in 2018, sharing a kiss with a beautiful mountain view as the background.
"With shaking hands but a full heart I proposed to my best friend earlier this year," the 24-year-old guitarist wrote in the caption. "I love you Thao and I can't imagine my life without you @sierradeaton."
Sierra also shared equally sweet photos on her own page. Despite having to keep their happy news secret for a moment, the "Little Do You Know" singer alluded that it was such an exciting process for her. "it was fun keeping this a secret for so long, but my heart is nearly bursting at the seams. can't wait for forever," so "The X-Factor" alum wrote.
Earlier this month, Luke posted a sweet tribute to Sierra, who is bisexual, to celebrate Pride Month. "There is still so much work to be done but wanted to wish everyone a happy pride. Especially to my beautiful bisexual biracial angel," Luke gushed over Sierra on Instagram Story.
Further proving that he's such a sweet boyfriend, Luke said in 2020 that he wrote "Not in the Same Way" about Sierra. "Well, it's about me and my current girlfriend, and she's incredible. Maybe Ashton was there as well, maybe he was writing about someone else, but that's where I was writing about from," he told Paper Magazine. "She's a beautiful human. It could be painted in such a... when the worst moments are written on paper, it doesn't look very good. It was very important that it was the other side of it, because a lot of the mistakes are mine, you know?"
