AceShowbiz - "America's Got Talent" has returned with a brand new season. As season 16 with a two-hour season premiere on Tuesday, June 1 on, it promised the best, biggest and most surprising moments for the viewers. Joining fellow judges Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell returned after missing half of the last season due to injury.

Season 16 started with an adorable dog act. The act was quite unique as each of the judges was represented on stage by a dog in a suit behind a judges panel. "This is genius. I mean, seriously genius," Simon gushed, while Sofia admitted that the performance was "so much fun." The first act went to the next round.

Later, 10-year-old Peter Rosalita hit the stage to sing Celine Dion's classic "All by Myself" in a white suit. Thanks to his amazing vocals, he got a four-chair standing ovation. "I predict that you're going to go far in this competition," Howie said.

Following it up was an aerialist Aidan Bryant who taught himself acrobatics and aerialist tricks based on YouTube videos. "I mean, it's amazing that you can do something like this in two years," Sofia praised him, adding, "I mean, this looks like something that you've been doing, you know, generations in a family." Aidan moved on.

Mr. Cherry and Chikki called themselves "record breakers." Hitting the stage, they were determined to set the world record for cracking walnuts on Mr. Cherry's butt. They got to crush 71 nuts to set the world record and they managed to sit on and crush 72 walnuts in 30 seconds. Despite that, Howie and Heidi said no to them so they had to go home.

Northwell Health nurse choir offered an impressive stage performance as they belted out "Stand by Me" which successfully earned them standing ovation from the judges as well as the Golden Buzzer. "I got to say that you are the most inspiring moment that I have had in the last year, not only for who you are, but for what you do," Howie told the group, who was unsurprisingly sent to the next round.

Keith Apicary hoped he would go to the next round by performing a high-energy dance. It was a rather comedic act but Simon "loved every second of it." Sofia also said that she loved it since it was "unexpected." All four judges voted yes for Keith.

Later, Gerald Kelly and his son Hunter attempted to bring laughters with their stand-up material with Gerald performing first. Sofia loved it, noting, "That was a lot of fun." He moved on. It was then time for Hunter to shine. He told jokes about being taller than Kevin Hart among others, though the judges noticed that he "went blank" for a minute during his performance. Despite that, Howie praised him over how he handled it. He was also sent to the next round.

1aChord wowed the judges with an emotional cover of "Fix You" by Coldplay. The trio, who just met a month and a half ago, stunned the judges with the harmonizations as they earned standing ovations from the four judges. "I have a feeling this is the beginning of an amazing journey for the three of you right here," Heidi shared. Meanwhile, Howie marveled, "You're like a three-man choir. I've never been to church but I feel like I just went."

Magician Dustin Tavella took the stage to not only showcase his magic trick but also happiness, warmth and inspiration. "This was all-encompassing of emotion, inspiration, magic. You checked every box," Howie said of the performance. The performance also rendered Heidi "speechless." Rounding out the night was a bizarre performance from a guy who donned in a giant, terrifying peacock outfit. Simon and Heidi hit their buttons before he event got to finish. However, Howie and Sofie gave him a yes, so did the audience. He moved on.
