The 'Like a Boss' actress takes to Twitter to respond after she's criticized for allegedly demanding that her presence be known at the memorial service for George.

AceShowbiz - Tiffany Haddish has broken her silence after she was criticized following Rev. Al Sharpton's awkward shout-out to her at George Floyd's memorial service. The comedian took to Twitter on Friday, June 5 to respond to the backlash, without mentioning the allegation leveled at her.

"I usually don't give space to the bulls**t that some people spew about me, not today," she tweeted. "We are in the middle of the fight for our lives. I was blessed and honored to be asked to attend the memorial service of George Floyd, our brother, who was murdered, which led us to this moment."

Denying the accusation, the "Girls Trip" star added, "Please don't squander this critical moment to make s**t up about me." She went on asking people not to focus on the negative things, but "channel that energy into important work...like honoring our fallen brothers and sisters and stopping this horrible cycle once and for all."

Tiffany Haddish Responds to George Floyd Memorial Backlash

Tiffany Haddish responded to backlash after her presence at George Floyd memorial service.

Tiffany's tweets were in response to criticism that she's allegedly centring herself at the memorial for George on Thursday, June 4. When Al Sharpton took the podium to deliver a speech, he listed off stars in the room, namely Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Will Packer, Master P and T.I.

For a while, the Baptist minister appeared to forget that Tiffany was also present, before someone reminded him. "Is Tiffany here?" he asked the room, after which the comedienne's voice can be heard presumably telling the civil rights activist that she was, in fact, there.

Though Tiffany didn't appear to be demanding a shout-out from Al Sharpton or complaining that he forgot about her, people still called her out on Twitter. "but Tiffany Haddish what are you doing??? cant be doing that for a forgotten shout out , @ a funeral," one person ripped her apart.

Another accused her, "The fact that Tiffany Haddish is forcing her presence be known at George Floyd's memorial is not sitting well with me. It's not about you sis. #GeorgeFloyd." A third person responded in disbelief, "Clicked to see why Tiffany Haddish is trending...a shout out. A shout out at a funeral."

Some others, however, have come to Tiffany's defense and expressed their confusion as to why Al Sharpton gave shout-outs to those celebrities in the first place. "This WHOLE Tiffany Haddish thing is a LIEā€¼ DID ANY OF YOU EVEN WATCH THE SERVICE?!?!" one person hit back at the critics.

"Seemed to be not that Tiffany Haddish wanted to be called out, but that Rev Al named a bunch of dudes, forgot her, then said 'I was so busy joking with Kevin Hart I didn't even look at you.' I can see the offense in that," another tried to explain.
