Challenging famous friends such as Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Halle Berry and Alicia Keys to share their entries, the 'Candyman' singer encourages others to be comfortable enough in their own individual beauty.

AceShowbiz - Christina Aguilera wants people to start sharing their diaries online. On Wednesday, May 20, the "Genie in a Bottle" hitmaker launched her Diary Dares by making public a series of photos capturing pages from her own personal journal, and explained the importance of opening up amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Today I'm starting #DiaryDares," the 39-year-old singer began explaining in the Instagram post. "Especially at this time, it's essential to dig deep, listen to ourselves, & create a 'safe space' for one another….to share our current or past experiences (hardships or highlights), reflect on who we want to be, how we wish to live when we come out of this, and what we want to leave behind."

The multiple Grammy winner continued, "Diaries have always helped me do this. They keep me grounded and centered, and allow me to reflect and listen to my own voice- amongst all the noise of this business." She added, "Reviewing them, I am thankful to be able to look back on how my life has shaped me and how my journey has led me here."â €

Having shared some of her own entries, the mother of two challenged some of her famous friends, Demi Lovato, Bethenny Frankel, Dan Levy, Lizzo, Halle Berry, Alicia Keys and Cleo Wade to make public their quarantine diaries. "Let's archive this time in history and establish a safe place to express, reflect, and share together," she pleaded.

"I dare us to be real, fearless, take away the filters and be comfortable enough in our own individual beauty," she went on. "I dare us to come together and share our feelings in a time that is uncertain - whether we may feel scared, lonely, and everything in between. I dare us to read each other's truths and support them. Lift each other up."

Pointing out that May is Mental Health Awareness month, the "Beautiful" singer expressed her hope that others will answer her dare since "this kind of sharing is so important and cathartic." She concluded her post by noting, "And we will feel better and be stronger because of it."
