The 'Shape of You' hitmaker has lost some of his livestock after his country estate in Suffolk, England got a surprise visitor amid the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran's hopes for a peaceful break during lockdown in the English country have been ruined, after a fox reportedly killed several of his chickens.

The "Shape of You" star is currently self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic on his Suffolk estate and, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper, his roost has become the target for local foxes.

A local source told the publication, "He's lost a couple in recent weeks and they are not so easy to replace with the nation being in lockdown."

"So, he's made sure their coop is doubly secure so he doesn't lose his entire stock to foxes," they added. "Ed is very much in tune with nature and loves fresh produce from his gardens so he doesn't want he lose any more of his girls to foxes."

Ed has reportedly turned into a keen gardener while spending time on his sprawling estate amid the coronavirus lockdown, with him and wife Cherry Seaborn, 27, tending to their land and growing organic fruit and vegetables, such as strawberries, potatoes, lettuce and carrots, in a greenhouse in the grounds of their $4.6 million land.

The isolation period comes at an opportune moment for the star, who announced a career break late last year 2019 after wrapping his mammoth, two-year Divide Tour.
