The 'Bullets Over Broadway' star is fighting for his life as he continues battling severe lung infection after being admitted to hospital following collapse.

AceShowbiz - Tony Award-nominated Broadway star Nick Cordero has been moved to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is in critical condition as his health continues to deteriorate.

The Canadian actor, who starred in "Bullets Over Broadway" in 2014 and last year's hit musical "Waitress", was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after contracting what was initially believed to be pneumonia earlier this year 2020.

Two tests later confirmed the star does not have coronavirus, but his wife Amanda Kloots told fans on Instagram on Saturday, April 11, 2020 her "whole world has stopped" as her husband continues to fight the illness.

She said she got a call that Nick had a new infection in his lung that caused his temperature to spike and his blood pressure to drop, leading his heart to have irregular beats.

The actor then lost consciousness and his pulse, leading doctors to have to resuscitate him, and he was subsequently placed on an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machine to help support his lungs and heart, dialysis to help with his kidneys, and a ventilator.

According to Amanda, soon after one of the cannulas tubes on the ECMO machine was stopping blood flow to his right leg, and Nick was rushed into surgery.

Describing his condition as very critical, Amanda broke down, stating that Nick is "suffering" and living minute by minute.

"Please pray for my husband. Prayer warriors, prayer circles, whatever you've got," she penned alongside a black and white snap of the couple and their young son Elvis.

The fitness instructor added on her Instagram Story page, "Tomorrow is Easter and I'm praying for a resurrection."
