AceShowbiz - Bhad Bhabie a.k.a. Danielle Bregoli isn't getting the best birthday gift. Apparently not learning from her mistake, the young hip-hop star has come under fire yet again for wearing braids, after drawing public's ire for the same reason last year.
The "Hi Bich" hitmaker showed off her new hairstyle on several Instagram posts on Wednesday, March 25, just a day before her 17th birthday. In two videos, she is seen lip-syncing to a song while touching her head, seemingly loving her braids.
Her followers quickly jumped to the comment sections to criticize her choice of hairstyle, with a fan writing, "Look you are pretty, but this is culture appreciation. This isn't dope this isn't cool." Another made her/his point clear, "And that's on cultural appropriation."
A third user sarcastically remarked, "Congrats, you going to get called out again for the hair." One person told her to "take off them f**king braids," while another alleged, "You want attention sooo bad." Someone else suggested that being in quarantine has taken a toll on her sanity as writing, "She's been indoors too long. Somebody drop this chick off in the hood..."
This isn't the first time Bhad Bhabie has been accused of cultural appropriation. Back in December 2019, she was called out for wearing box braids. Not feeling sorry, she instead clapped back at the critics.
"To all the black females that are saying my hair ain't meant for box Braids guess the f**k what y'all hair ain't meant to be straight but y'all glue whole wigs on to your heads and sew Brazilian/Indian/Peruvian hair which is anything like your natural hair texture at all," she wrote on Instagram, "and I don't say a god d**n thing neither do the other cultures that you get the hair from."
Her controversial hairstyle aside, Bhad Bhabie has marked her 17th birthday on Thursday, March 26 by sharing several new bikini pics. Still wearing the same hairstyle, she rocked a skimpy two-piece swimsuit while lying down on a lounge chair in one pic and showed her backside while holding a drink in two other snaps. She simply captioned those photos with "17" and a cherry emoji.
