Advising his social media follower to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, the 'So High' rapper speculates that he might have contracted the virus when going out to get something to eat.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Slim Thug has become the latest celebrity to test positive for the coronavirus.

The 39-year-old, real name Stayve Thomas, took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 24 to reveal the news and urge his fans and followers to "take this stuff seriously".

"As careful as I've been self-quarantining, staying home, I might have went and got something to eat or something, simple stuff like that, nothing crazy (sic)," he says. "Stayed in my truck, had masks, gloves, everything on and my test came back positive."

"Y'all gotta take this stuff serious. Sit home, self-quarantine, do not come outside for however long they're saying. If you have symptoms, you need to go get checked out or whatever."

The Houston, Texas native goes on to explain he had a fever and a cough, but he feels much better.

"I don't have a fever or nothing like that, so I feel like I'm good, but y'all better take this serious," he adds. "It's real out here."

He joins a growing list of stars who have tested positive for the potentially deadly virus - it includes Idris Elba, Tom Hanks, Olga Kurylenko, Placido Domingo, Bon Jovi star David Bryan, and former "Game of Thrones" castmates Kristofer Hivju and Indira Varma.
