The 'Girls Need Love' songstress makes the sudden announcement on Instagram Stories, declaring that she will never make new music once 2020 comes to an end.

AceShowbiz - Summer Walker's move in announcing her plan to quit music has backfired. Shortly after informing her social media followers that she would stop making music once 2020 comes to an end, the "Girls Need Love" singer found herself being labeled an attention seeker.

The 23-year-old drew the negative reactions with her Instagram Story post dated Monday, February 10. At the time, she put out a statement that simply read, "lol I'm deada** never making another song after 2020."

Walker's announcement quickly gained buzz on Twitter. One commented, "Summer walker be wanting attention or something. Like ok bi**h don't make no more songs, who cares." Another criticized, "Summer Walker hates attention but loves it at the same time. Wtf she is?" A third stated, "For summer walker to have anxiety , she sure does seek a lot of attention."

Prior to her sudden announcement, Walker has recently collaborated with Justin Bieber for a remix version of "Yummy".
