AceShowbiz - Stormzy is celebrating after emerging victorious following his war of words with fellow rapper Wiley.
The British grime stars butted heads earlier this mont, when Wiley, 42, accused his younger counterpart of being "worse than Ed Sheeran" for his collaboration with the singer-songwriter on "Take Me Back to London".
Both acts went on to launch a string of scathing diss tracks, with Wiley targeting 27-year-old Stormzy's mum, and the Vossi Bop rapper attacking Wiley's relationship with his own mother on Disappointed and its follow-up, Still Disappointed.
Speaking with Ebro Darden on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio show, however, Stormzy declared: "It's done. We had the exchange.
"My last stop, I said 24 hours to reply, posted the video and then I was doing a signing and went to go smoke a cigarette and check the time. I was like, 'All right, cool. We just got about 10 minutes left.' Nothing happened," he continued. "The next day or something, he dropped it. I heard it and it was like, 'Okay, like we're going to leave it here.'"
"The album went number one the day after. There were celebrations for that," he added, referring to his chart-topping sophomore album, Heavy Is the Head.
Reflecting on the spat, the hitmaker noted it was a "quick, easy victory," before adding locking horns with the Heatwave star has, "given me a strength, a certain kind of strength that I may not have had in my career because I was never battle tested. I'm proud to be in a position where I can play my part in sparring with the godfather."
And it seems the feud is definitely over, as Wiley has pleaded for Stormzy to invite him to his next #MERKY Festival this summer in Ibiza, tweeting: "Put me on Merky Fest I don't even want money I will sing Rolex."
Stormzy has yet to respond to the offer.
