The British band enter 2020 with the number one on the countdown after "Orphans" becomes the group's 13th chart-topper.

U2 and Coldplay previously tied for the record until Bono and his bandmates' "You're the Best Thing About Me" gave them the edge.

"Orphans" is Coldplay's first number one on the 24-year-old chart since "Adventure of a Lifetime" hit the top spot in December, 2015. "Orphans" is the lead single from Coldplay's eighth studio album, "Everyday Life".
