The 'Live Like You Were Dying' singer recalls how he impressed his wife with his cooking and scored a date with her after treating her to his home-cooked meal.

AceShowbiz - Country star Tim McGraw still enjoys a big pasta feast on Christmas Eve, thanks to his Italian mum.
She used to cook up spaghetti and meatballs to herald in Christmas Day when Tim was a kid - and he still loves the tradition at home in Tennessee with wife Faith Hill.
"Everybody comes to our house and we have a big old spaghetti and meatball dinner," the superfit singer says, revealing that's the one meal he's not calorie counting. "It's the whole works. I eat plenty when it comes to that."
And Tim's the guy in the kitchen cooking up the pasta feast on Christmas Eve, revealing he has always been a decent chef.
"I love to cook," he explains. "I do the staples... Chicken and dumplings is a big go-to in our house. That's sort of how I got Faith... we were touring together and I didn't know her that well, and she lived right down the road, and I made some chicken and dumplings and I thought, 'I'll take some chicken and dumplings and some cornbread down to Faith Hill and see how that works out.' "
"I still cook them every now and then, and it still works."
