According to TMZ, the Germantown resident was taken into custody in connection with an alleged incident that took place in May 2018. He was indicted and released on Tuesday after posting a $50,000 bail.

Online court records show that a grand jury convened on November 13, and a warrant for Silas' arrest was issued a week later. His next court date is scheduled for January 9, 2020. He has not entered any plea, nor has he found legal representation. Other details about the case are currently not available.

Meanwhile, Jeni DiPrizio, a reporter for Memphis ABC affiliate WATN and CW affiliate WLMT, reports that Silas has been previously accused of raped by "several women." However, none of the women she has spoken with is related to the incident Silas was charged in.

Silas' neighbor in Germantown, Sandy Smith, was stunned when she heard the news of his rape charge. "Totally shocked, completely. I never would have thought about such a thing," she told WMC Action News 5. She added, "He's absolutely delightful, hardworking. He's renovated that house and has done amazing things to it. He's just been great with all the other neighbors."

Silas appeared in the third season of the CBS reality competition series, "Survivor: Africa", which aired from October 2001 to January 2002. He finished in the 12th place after he was voted off at the end of the sixth episode.

Silas was listed as a bartender during his stint on the show, but went on to work as a model and actor. According to his IMDb page, he had an uncredited role in Adam Sandler's 2003 comedy film "Anger Management" and starred in 2008's drama movie "My True Self". The former reality TV star recently moved back to Tennessee to work for a home renovation company after a lengthy stay in Los Angeles.
