To tackle the role made famous by Joan Collins in the 80s, 'The Parent Trap' actress will take over from Nicollette Sheridan and Elizabeth Gilles in the third season of the revamped series.
Actress Elaine Hendrix is to tackle the TV role Joan Collins made famous on 1980s soap "Dynasty".
"The Parent Trap" star has been cast as Alexis Carrington for the third season of the "Dynasty" revamp.
Hendrix is taking over the role launched by former "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan and temporarily played by Elizabeth Gillies, who also portrays Fallon Carrington on the show.
Collins portrayed Alexis on the original "Dynasty" series from 1981 to 1989.
