The 'Shallow' singer may or may not be joking when she tells her followers on social media that her new album will be named after a huge British pop star.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa is such a tease! The 33-year-old singer/songwriter caused internet frenzy after she took to Twitter to post what might or might not be her new album title. "I'm calling my next album ADELE," so she wrote to her devoted fans.

The Twitter post soon sparked heated debate among her fans. Some believed the Oscar-winning songstress was just trolling her followers while some others were left confused.

"Is this real?" one hopeful fan wrote. Another posted, "Girl stop tweeting about your album and drop it already we are TIRED." Meanwhile, actress Rachel Zegler would love for GaGa to record a duet with Adele, "Tell me there's a collab and I will throw a chair."

"Oscar winners with 24 Grammys to their name. We have no choice but to stan," a devotee posted. Another excited response came from rapper Juicy J who sent fire emojis. A cheeky fan even went to Wikipedia to update the star's discography.

Lady GaGa released her last album titled after her real name "Joanne" in 2016. Two years later, she collaborated with her "A Star Is Born" co-star Bradley Cooper for the soundtrack of the musical film. Her upcoming album will be her sixth studio installment.
