Demi Lovato's Family 'Isn't Too Invested' in Mike Johnson Amid New Romance

The 'Give Your Heart a Break' songstress herself reportedly doesn't see her relationship with the 'Bachelorette' alum as something serious after he gushes about her kissing skills.

AceShowbiz - While fans are excited that Demi Lovato and Mike Johnson are finally dating, those close to the actress/singer are reportedly not hoping much from the new romance. Words are the Disney Channel alum's family "isn't too invested" in "The Bachelorette" alum as a match to the 27-year-old beauty.

Though her family doesn't see her future with Air Force vet just yet, they have nothing against him either. A source tells Us Weekly that Demi's family "think(s) he's a nice guy" and "everyone is collectively seeing where things go."

Demi and Mike themselves are said not taking things too serious currently as they're "casually dating" and enjoy "having fun" together. "Demi and Mike's relationship isn't anything serious," the source dishes. "Now that Demi has had ample time to get her life back on track, particularly from a sobriety perspective, she is broadening her horizons and starting to put herself out there a bit more."

The source goes on detailing Demi and Mike's traits that attract each other. "She thinks Mike is funny [and] smart," says the source. "He makes her laugh and is respectful of her boundaries. All of these qualities are very important and intriguing to Demi."

Recently, Mike got fans excited as he gushed about his new lady, Demi. "We've gone on more than one date," he told iHeartRadio's "Almost Famous" podcast. "I like her tattoos. We both have a lot of tattoos and she kisses really well... I'm getting to know her for her."

The 31-year-old former reality TV star added, "For one, I'm all about her too and she definitely was the aggressor. I find it incredibly sexy. I love that. Like you want me, come at me. If I want you, I'm going to come at you and I’m coming at her as well."

Weighing in on Demi and Mike's relationship, Wendy Williams has warned the portfolio manager not to talk too much about their romance if he wants it to last. "He's talking a little too much... I don't know if they've smushed or not, but he's confirmed they've kissed. You're talking incredibly too much," she said on her talk show Tuesday, October 1.

Wendy went on sharing more advice to the "Bachelor in Paradise" alum, "He needs to choose his words carefully. Don't talk about whether she's a good kisser. Like, we care, but we don’t care to hear it from you... I don't want to hear that she [Demi] was the aggressor."
