AceShowbiz - As The Mickey Mouse alums, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera must have understood each other's struggles and hardships to climb their way to become global stars like today. They often appeared on numerous occasions together and performed together with Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003. But Xtina hinted that their rivalry started when they argued over fellow Mouseketeer Justin Timberlake, who would later date Britney for three years.
Their feud escalated after Britney was praised for her 2001 single "I'm a Slave 4 U", while Christina's 2002 sexy singer "Dirrty" received negative feedback from critics. Seemingly bitter about it, the former "The Voice" coach began to trash talk Britney, who didn't stay quiet and clapped back at Christina. The back-and-forth continued for years, feeding multiple tabloid headlines. Although they seem to be cordial now, they never repair their broken bond.
