The 'What About Love' singer leaves a cheeky response to the 'Wolves' songstress' post, in which she reveals that 'Riverdale' star Cole Sprouse was her childhood crush.

AceShowbiz - Fans are shipping Selena Gomez and Austin Mahone again after the latter left a comment on her recent Instagram post. Keeping their friendship intact years after they were first wrapped in dating rumors, the 23-year-old singer/songwriter cheekily responded to the former Disney star's revelation about her childhood crush.
In the spirit of #ThrowbackThursday, the 27-year-old singer/actress took to her social media account on Thursday, September 12 to show her handwriting scrawled across a wall on which she declared her love for someone named Juan and "The Suite Life on Deck" star Cole Sprouse. "Apparently my heart was very conflicted between Juan and Cole Sprouse when I was 11..," she captioned the video and photo.
Instead of commenting on Selena's childhood crush, Austin took a notice of the "Fetish" singer's adoration of English football club Tottenham Hostpur. Apparently sharing the same interest, the former YouTube star wrote in the comment section, "A Spurs fan too."
While Austin just casually commented on Selena's post, it's enough to revive fans' interest to see them as a couple. They began to ship the two stars again, with one suggesting, "hang out w each other already."
"i ship," one simply wrote, while a third user begged, "date already I'm begging y'all." Someone else said, "OMG. WE NEED AUSTINLENA AGAIN."
Cole himself has responded to Selena's Instagram post. Seemingly knowing who "Juan" whom Selena referred to is, the "Riverdale" actor admitted his loss to the other guy. "always Juan-upping me," so he wrote.
Back in 2014, Selena and Austin were rumored to be an item after they were reportedly set up by their mutual friend and matchmaker Taylor Swift. The "What About Love" singer, however, debunked the reports, telling E! News at the time, "No definitely not. We're just close friends. She's awesome. Very talented, sweet girl."
"It's pretty crazy," he added of the rumors. "Like I just woke up and they're like, 'Oh yeah by the way they say you're dating Selena Gomez..' Like what?! That's the most random thing ever."
