Picking up where Connie Britton and Eric Bana left off in the first season, the 'Brockmire' actress is teaming up with the 'Mr. Robot' actor to star as estranged couple in America's messiest divorce.

AceShowbiz - Amanda Peet and Christian Slater are to play husband and wife in the second season of hit true crime anthology series "Dirty John".
The stars will pick up where Connie Britton and Eric Bana left off in the first season of the drama, in "Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story".
Like the first season, the new "Dirty John" run will revolve around a real crime story - Peet will play convicted murderer Betty Broderick, who killed her ex-husband (Slater) during what Oprah Winfrey once described as "America's messiest divorces".
The first season of the show was based on Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard's articles about the breakdown of Debra Newell and John Meehan's romance.
Britton and Bana played the real-life couple.
