AceShowbiz - Though Warner Bros. had no intention to release a new teaser trailer for "Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)" online for the time being, everyone is now able to enjoy the new sneak peek. The footage, which is attached to "It Chapter Two" and is supposed to be only shown in theaters, has leaked online for fans' viewing pleasure.
The video opens with red balloons, which are closely linked to "It" villain Pennywise, floating on the screen over Warner Bros. and DC logos. Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn then appears, popping the balloons with her hammer. "I'm so f***ing over clowns," she addresses the audience with a smirk on her face.
The rest of the footage shows scenes which were pretty much revealed in previously leaked images, while Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll" begins to play. There's a shot of someone riding a motorcycle, Harley, Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) in action, and Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) excitedly shouting.
It ends with Harley riding a car and enjoying a pastry with some fury companions, believed to be her heynas, sitting behind her. She blinks her eye to the camera before the screen goes dark and shows the title treatment.
"Birds of Prey" will follow Harley Quinn after she splits up with The Joker. She teams up with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a little girl, Cassandra Cain, who is threatened by Black Mask, an evil crime lord.
Ella Jay Basco stars as Cassandra, while Chris Messina also joins the cast as Victor Zsasz. Cathy Yan is directing the pic, with the script provided by Christina Hodson. The dark-edged crime film is scheduled for a February 7, 2020 release in the United States.
