Fans previously were made worried after the rapper shared on Instagram Stories video of him gripping her neck seemingly as a way to show his affection towards Alexis.

AceShowbiz - Trouble and Alexis Skyy's relationship surely is one that many Internet users talk about. Most of them were not fond of it following a video featuring her gripping the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" stars, and the latest Instagram update from the rapper seemingly made it even worse.

Instead of her usual long black hair, the VH1 personality was seen rocking short hair because that was what Trouble liked. "Told ace how much I love confident women with short hair instead of them colors everyBody else Be doing an what she go do, cut her s**t for papi!" he captioned the picture.

"You're Beautiful regardless and i'd Be with you however you chose to wear your hair. I gotta say I definitely appreciate you trusting me though. S**t look toooooo good on you! #ThugLuv," he added.

Fans noticed that their relationship seemed quite toxic with Trouble appearing to be too controling. "he said jump and she said how high. yikes," one critic said in the comment section of The Shade Room's post. "Why are we constantly seeking validation from a man tho," another user added. Meanwhile, one person believed that Alexis needed help and wrote, "Alexis blink 10times if u need help PLEASE."

The criticism didn't go unnoticed by Trouble, who later offered a lengthy explanation of what happened before she cut her hair. "For the record, I didn’t make or tell my lady to do anything different with her style. I expressed truthfully what I like over anything else conversing with each other as adults should who are in relationships," Trouble said, insisting that he didn't force Alexis to change for him.

"She took it upon herself to do what I like... I love it the same way as I would if she didn't cut it and I appreciate her!.. If you don't like it that's your opinion," he continued. "Good thing we don't live our lives to meet the opinions of spectators. Hopefully yall will find someone as true and devoted as I am to her and as she is to me. Then, you'll understand the feeling. #ThugLuv."

Alexis echoed his beau's statement, writing, "MY MAN SAID WHAT HE SAID. NEXT."

In the video, Alexis could be seen smiling while saying, "I love him telling me what to do," to the person behind the camera. She, however, was seen trying to release herself from his grip multiple times to no avail. She only succeeded in the end of the video.
