In a new magazine interview, the 'National Treasure' actor also says that he doesn't want to talk about his marriage to the makeup artist that only last for four days.

AceShowbiz - Nicolas Cage has broken his silence on his headline-making marriage to makeup artist Erika Koike. In a recent interview with The New York Times, the 55-year-old actor opened up his disappointment in how the way things played out in their whirlwind romance.
Opting out from directly mentioning his divorce, Nicolas said, "There was a recent breakup," before admitting he didn't want to talk about the matter in public. The "Ghost Rider" star added, "I was pretty upset about that and the way things happened."
Nicolas and Erika applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas back in March before exchanging vows at a chapel in Bellagio Hotel hours later. The former filed for an annulment four days after that, stating in the documents that he "reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his actions" when Erika suggested that they should wed. He also insisted that they had "such conflict in personalities and dispositions," claiming their marriage was "incompatible."
The exes ended up settled for a divorce rather than an annulment, with the documents being finalized on May 31 of this year.
Erika herself addressed their divorce in that same month, admitting that the fact the actor filed for an annulment after four days of marriage left a bitter taste in her mouth. "Nic did what he did," she said, before shutting down any possibility of reconciliation. "We're not going to reconcile or get back together. Nic could have come to me and talked to me, not publicly humiliate me. I'm hurt and mistreated, it's unfair, but the case is sealed, and my lawyer won't let me speak until we are all done."
Their short-lived romance marked Nicolas' fourth failed marriage. The "National Treasure" star was previously married to Patricia Arquette, Lisa Marie Presley and Alice Kim.
