The 'Boys Meet World' alum announces the good news on Instagram, sharing a picture of her and husband Jespen Karp walking out of the hospital ward while holding their son Adler's car seat.

AceShowbiz - Danielle Fishel is starting her week with good news. The "Boy Meets World" alum revealed to her Instagram followers on Monday, July 15 that her newborn son Adler Lawrence had been discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit after three weeks.

Accompanying the announcement was a picture of her and husband Jensen Karp holding Adler's car seat while walking out of the hospital ward triumphantly. Danielle even put her hand in the air to show how happy she was over the discharge. Thanking the hospital staff in the caption of the post, she wrote, "We never wanted to know this hospital and its staff so well but now that we do, we can say with certainty there is no better place for children with medical needs."

"Now we hope to never be back," the 38-year-old actress continued. "Finally, our love and hugs to every single parent who has ever spent time in the NICU and especially those we left behind today."

Jensen shared the same photo on his Instagram page and expressed how he was feeling, "What an incredible rollercoaster of emotions that I will hang over his head for the rest of my life." He continued, "We've joined a fraternity of NICU parents, a club we never thought of before, but now can never forget. We're so happy our son is leaving, but our hearts hang heavy for those we left behind. OK, now to be a dad in the real world..."

Danielle and Jensen welcomed Adler on June 24, when the former was only 35 weeks pregnant. However, the new bundle of joy was suffering from some health complications after doctors found fluid on his lungs. Last week, Danielle said that Adler was improving.

"We're still in the hospital but Adler is getting better and stronger every day," she said at the time, noting how she and Jensen "keep reminding ourselves that we are extremely lucky - and Adler *will* eventually come home with us - and therefore this is nothing but an enormous test of our patience and willingness to relinquish control."
