AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon's daughter has opened the door to her college dorm room to help those worried about heading to university this autumn.

Ava Phillippe, who is Reese's daughter from her marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe, became a student at the University of California, Berkeley last year (2018), and now she has teamed up with Amazon bosses to rave about life at college as part of the company's Off to College campaign.

Showing off her room, the 19-year-old says, "I'm absolutely obsessed with my cotton Calvin Klein duvet from Amazon's Off to College storefront. It's like laying on your favourite T-shirt while studying!".

And she admits she spends a lot of time there: "In between classes, I often come back to my dorm to get some reading done."

Urging this year's college freshmen to make the most of university life by getting organised early, Ava adds, "One of my favourite aspects of college is the freedom to create your own class schedule. While it's exciting that every week day is different, it sometimes makes it challenging to keep track of my schedule. I've been using my Amazon Echo to set reminders I need for class, set alarms, and keep me organised."

Ava will be hoping her college life is more successful than the last Amazon Off to College ambassador, Olivia Jade, who was recently forced to quit her studies at the University of Southern California following her parents' alleged involvement in an admissions scandal.

Olivia Jade is the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Gianulli, who have pleaded not guilty to allegedly bribing officials to get their daughters into USC.
