After Amy S. Foster comes forward with her cancer diagnosis, her music legend father praises her for being strong and for her 'incredible' attitude in dealing with the worst situation.

AceShowbiz - Songwriter and author Amy S. Foster has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The daughter of music legend David Foster went public with her health crisis on Instagram on Tuesday, June 11, revealing she will soon be undergoing a mastectomy to try and halt the spread of the disease.
"You may have noticed that I've gone a little dark on social media. I flunked my mammogram recently. I felt a lump and got it checked and yep.....Breast cancer," the 45 year old wrote, alongside a photo of herself flashing the peace sign as she prepared to undergo an MRI scan. "The great news is that I caught it early and although I am getting a mastectomy - I don't need chemo."
Amy, who is known for her frequent collaborations with Michael Buble and has written songs recorded by Blake Shelton, Josh Groban, and Andrea Bocelli, admitted she was feeling "so lucky and grateful" to have discovered the lump when she did, and she has urged others not to wait to get a mammogram if they feel something is not quite right.
"KNOWING IS BETTER...even if it's the worst news you can hear," the mother-of-three continued. "I will leave you with the mantra that so many women revert back to in order to minimize how they are feeling - but in my case, it really is the truth...I'm fine. Still...#f-cancer."
Her famous father was quick to share a loving comment on Amy's post, as he praised her for her optimism.
"It has been such a ruff (sic) roller coaster ride for you this past 3 weeks but I am so proud of how strong you are and you finally have an outcome that is best scenario of the worst situation," David shared.
"Your attitude is incredible and your message is right on point to all women out there - I love you and will always be right beside you on this which you will be looking at in the rear view mirror before too long xoxo (sic)."
Amy is David's daughter from his relationship with Bonnie Jean Cook.
