AceShowbiz - Another rapper was involved in a drive-by shooting. YoungBoy Never Broke Again, also known simply as NBA YoungBoy, was reportedly targeted by a shooter, who opened fire at him and his crew outside the Trump Beach Resort in Miami on Sunday, May 12.

Local police have confirmed that the shooting occurred and one person is dead. That person was allegedly the shooter. According to unconfirmed reports, YoungBoy's security chased down the shooter and shot him in the head, killing him on the scene.

YoungBoy's 19-year-old girlfriend Kay Marie was reportedly injured and taken to a hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds, but the "Outside Today" rapper was not injured. He and his bodyguard are reportedly detained for investigation.

DJ Akademiks tweeted, "They are now saying the girl who got shot who was with NBA Youngboy was 19.. and he's detained. Also police detained NBA Youngboy security who went after and killed the person who sprayed NBA Youngboy vehicle with what cops think was a AK 47 type gun."

A video from the aftermath of the shooting shows someone being taken away in a stretcher, while a police officer was talking to two other men who were apparently on the scene during the shooting. One local news outlet claimed the shooting stemmed from a road rage, while other sources said that YoungBoy was the intended target in the shooting.

YoungBoy is in Miami as he's scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud on Sunday night. It remains to be seen if he will take the stage as scheduled.

This is the third case of a drive-by shooting where a rapper was involved in one week. On Wednesday, May 8, someone opened fire at the Crossover Entertainment Group studio in Atlanta when Offset was recording music in the building. It's not clear if the Migos rapper was targeted in the shooting.

Two days later, Young Thug was reportedly targeted in a shooting in Miami. It was reported that his car and two party buses filled with his team were rained down with bullets on Friday morning. However, his spokesperson denied that Thug was involved in the shooting. According to the spokesperson, the bullets were apparently aimed at another rapper, DJ Keyz, who suffered a minor injury in the incident. Thug "was long gone" when the shooting happened, so the rep claimed.
