Based on the popular Young Adult books, 'Nancy Drew' has also been picked up to series by the network and is set to introduce newcomer Kennedy McMann who plays the titular character.

AceShowbiz - The CW has revealed a new addition to its lineup for 2019-2020 season. The network has picked up three of its pilots to series with "Batwoman" and a "Riverdale" spin-off among them.
"Batwoman", starring Ruby Rose, has been given a series order after the character made her debut in last year's Arrowverse TV crossover event "Elseworlds". The new series follows Kate Kane a.k.a. Batwoman, who will mark the first gay character to lead a live-action superhero show.
The official logline for "Batwoman" reads, "Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope."
Caroline Dries ("The Vampire Diaries") serves as executive producer.
"Katy Keene", a "Riverdale" spin-off, is also among the new series getting picked up by the network. Based on characters of Archie Comics, the series will star Lucy Hale and Ashley Murray, the later of whom will be playing an aged-up version of her character, Josie.
The official logline of "Katy Keene" reads, "In a timeless New York City, as enchanting as Riverdale is moody, aspiring fashion designer Katy Keene (Hale) meets Josie McCoy (Murray), fresh off the bus to chase her musical dreams. Their world is populated with kindred-spirit starving artists, including mysterious socialite Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) and Broadway-bound performer Jorge Lopez -- and his drag queen alter ego, Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp). While their climb to the top is rife with obstacles, this found family will stop at nothing to see their names in lights."
It was previously revealed that "Kate Keene" will not be set in the same time period as "Riverdale".
