AceShowbiz - Magic Johnson's daughter Elisa Johnson got real about her body in her latest Instagram post. The 24-year-old model recently shared a photo to show the "intense" scars that she got from a terrifying home invasion in December 2018.
The star of "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" wore a black bra and pants while taking a selfie, exposing the visible scars on her taut tummy. She kept it chic by wearing some stylish shades and pouting her lips to the camera.
Elisa wrote about self acceptance and embracing the wounds in the caption. "As women we tend to be very hard on ourselves. Months ago, I escaped from a home invasion and in the process I was left with intense scaring on my stomach," she recalled.
She went on sharing, "Until now I've been so afraid to show these scars, and incredibly insecure about the way I look. But I now realize these scars are a part of my journey, and tell the story of who I am. I love my body, and I am proud to be in the place I am today."
Her post was met with supportive messages from stars like LaLa Anthony and Bella Thorne. Author and actress LaLa wrote in the comment section, "Love u babe! Always beautiful." Bella added, "Wow. So sorry. Look how strong u are."
Justine Skye praised Elisa, "Thank you for continuously sharing your journey and the message of self love. I really admire that about you. You look amazing." Elisa's brother EJ Johnson simply commented, "Preach," while her mom Cookie Johnson left a series of kissing heart emojis and black hearts.
Elisa was staying at an Airbnb house at San Fernando Valley in early December of 2018 when two armed men broke into the house. At least ten people were there at the time, and the thieves held them at gunpoint and shoved them around the home.
Elisa, who was in her bedroom when she heard the commotion, quickly escaped through a sliding glass door at the back of the home and ran down the street to safety. It's not clear how she got the scars.
Following the incident, Elisa expressed her gratitude as writing on Instagram Stories, "God is so good."
