Jace Ferguson claims to have found the lifeless body of the 76-year-old 'Boyz n the Hood' actor next to his bed at his Palmdale, California home with his television still on.

AceShowbiz - Actor Jessie Lawrence Ferguson, who starred in "Boyz n the Hood", has died.
The 76-year-old, who was perhaps best known for playing Officer Coffey in the 1991 hit movie, passed away at his Palmdale, California home on Friday, April 26, TMZ reports.
Jace Ferguson told the outlet he found his lifeless father next to his bed with his television still on.
"He was a strong, beautiful intelligent black man and he wanted the best for his son and all people," said Jace in a tribute.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Jessie also starred in "The Chosen One", "The Presidio", and "Prince of Darkness".
His death comes days after "Boyz n the Hood" director John Singleton suffered a stroke. The 51-year-old remains in hospital and is reportedly in a coma.
