The Sex Pistols frontman claims that his wife Nora, who is battling Alzheimer's, can't cope with the constant fear of thugs invading their home in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Sex Pistols star Johnny Rotten has asked Los Angeles police officials to help him keep punk invaders from his Venice Beach home.

The British rocker, aka John Lydon, has been living in California for years, but insists his permanent holiday in the sun is no longer fun as homeless fans target his place as a party pad.

The "Anarchy in the U.K." singer tells Newsweek thugs have started ripping the bars from the windows of his home, breaking windows and turning the home into a tent city.

"A couple of weeks ago I had a problem," he says. "They came over the gate and put their tent inside, right in front of the front door... And if you complain, what are you? Oh, one of the establishment elite? No, I'm a bloke that's worked hard for his money and I expect to be able to use my own front door."

Lydon reveals his wife Nora, who is battling Alzheimer's, lives in constant fear her home will be ransacked by unwelcome visitors.

"My wife's ill and she can't cope with this," John explains. "But at 2am last week, a brick whizzed through the top floor window, the bedroom. Sorry, Mr. Policeman. I need your help."

"The vagrants moved in en masse... (in) tent cities... They're all, like, 24..".

"They're aggressive, and because there's an awful lot of them together they're gang-y."

He's also concerned for his Venice community, revealing heroin use has spiked and there are used needles all over the beach.

"You can't take anyone to the beach because there's jabs just waiting for young kids to put their feet in - and poo all over the sand," he rages.
