AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson (II) celebrated Easter as a family of five for the first time this weekend. To mark the special occasion, the singer-turned-fashion designer shared first photos of her newborn daughter Birdie Mae's face.
The 38-year-old mother of three took to Instagram to post a family Easter snap. In the image, the blonde beauty wore a white-and-blue floral dress while holding her one-month-old daughter. Her eldest daughter Maxwell Drew stood beside her mother, looking grown up, while Eric held the couple's son Ace Knute.
She wished her followers a happy Easter in the caption, writing, "Happy Easter from the Johnson Family, Party of 5!"
Jessica shared two other pictures of Birdie. In one snap, the infant slept soundly in a crib while wearing a colorful floral dress and a white headband. In the other snap, Maxwell posed next to her sister's crib, which was decorated with pink and red flowers. The 7-year-old girl wore a matching floral dress with her little sister.
Jessica welcomed her third child, Birdie, on March 19 through C-section. In early of this month, she opened up about her struggle to recover from the surgery while being a mother of three. "Recovering from a C-section is no joke," she captioned an Instagram photo of her two eldest children.
"I think we all get so carried away with the excitement of having a new baby that we forget that we are going in for major surgery," she shared. "Then on top of that, we get home from the hospital, have to recover from the surgery, balance our new life as a parent to three kids and be a wife."
The former "Fashion Star" host admitted that she relied a lot on her two eldest children to help looking after their younger sibling. "I'm feeling thankful for these two older siblings looking over their new baby sister," she gushed.
