AceShowbiz - Known as devout Christians, it's safe to say that Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger will honor their shared spirituality at their upcoming nuptials. Words are the couple wants their Christian faith to be front and center on their big day.
"They're going to want a religious wedding," a source tells PEOPLE of what is presumably in Chris and Katherine's heads for their celebration of love. "I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage."
Adding that the wedding is likely happening soon, the source says, "They are one of those rare couples that you root for from the beginning. It won't be a long engagement - Katherine has already talked about having a summer 2019 wedding."
Chris and Katherine, who were first reported dating in summer of 2018, indeed bonded over their Christian faith early on their relationship. The source dishes, "He's constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her. She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen."
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" actor announced his engagement to the 28-year-old author on Sunday, January 13. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!" he wrote on Instagram along with a picture of him and Katherine sharing an embrace.
Posting the same image on her own account, Katherine wrote, "My sweet love. Wouldn't want to live this life with anyone but you."
The 39-year-old actor reportedly had asked her parents Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger for their daughter's hand in marriage first before proposing to her. Reacting to the couple's engagement, Maria commented on the announcement post, "Love you. Enjoy this next chapter. Make it fun. You are so loved."
