When accepting Breakthrough Performance Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival, the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' star couldn't help but gush over his co-star, calling her his love.

AceShowbiz - Rami Malek appears to have confirmed he's dating his "Bohemian Rhapsody" co-star Lucy Boynton by gushing about her during an acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.

The couple was linked during the shoot for the Queen biopic, in which Rami portrays Freddie Mercury and Boynton plays his long-suffering partner, but neither has commented on the romance speculation - until now.

Speaking onstage at the Film Awards Gala, Malek said, "I'm just really honoured to be here, so thank you to the Palm Springs Film Festival. It's a privilege, it's not lost on me and I'm so appreciative. Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much."

Lucy was at the event after she and her boyfriend arrived separately.

It could be a big weekend for Malek - he's also up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 06, opposite Christian Bale ("Vice (2018)"), Viggo Mortensen ("Green Book"), Bradley Cooper ("A Star is Born"), and John David Washington ("BlacKkKlansman").

Thursday night's Palm Springs festivities also turned into a rare date night for Cooper and his model girlfriend Irina Shayk, who hit the red carpet together.

Bradley was honoured as Director of the Year at the prizegiving for "A Star Is Born". The award was presented by his "A Star is Born" castmate Sam Elliott.
