Calling herself a 'target of a serious crime,' the reality star issues a statement thanking the police for arresting Thomas Lippolis.

AceShowbiz - Jenni "JWoww" Farley has yet to end her marital drama with ex-husband Roger Mathews, and now she has to deal with another ex-boyfriend. Thomas Lippolis, who dated the reality star a decade ago, was arrested and charged with third-degree extortion on Wednesday, December 19, the Toms River Police Department in New Jersey confirmed in a press release.
According to police, Lippolis allegedly called JWoww's publicist demanding $25,000 from her in exchange for not sharing secrets about the mother of two with the media. Her publicist relayed the information to the "Jersey Shore" star, who then reported it to police. After looking into the allegations, Toms River Detective Tom Grosse arrested and charged him.
Following the arrest, JWoww issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight to thank the police for their hard work. "I would like to applaud the Toms River Police and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office for their professionalism, expedited response time and unwavering attention to detail that resulted in an immediate arrest after I was targeted of a serious crime," she said.
The mother of two went on explaining how she felt "fortunate to have the support of law enforcement of this caliber by my side, which has thankfully kept me and my children safe from those who have sought to victimize me."
Concluding her statement, JWoww wrote, "While I am unable to comment any further in light of the ongoing investigation, I offer to you that I will share more once this matter is concluded, but in the meantime ask that you please respect the private nature of these legal matters so that the authorities may properly conduct their business operation."
JWoww and Lippolis had a stormy relationship during their one year of dating. She accused him of physical and emotional abuse, saying he was very controlling, threw her belongings down the stairs and more. He also reportedly sued the "Snooki & JWoww" star at one point, saying she owed him for $700,000 of work he did as her manager. In addition, he threatened to release nude photos of her.
