The singer hopes to lift up the spirits of Madison Taliaferro by sweetly singing 'I'm Yours' and 'Have It All' live at the hospital.

AceShowbiz - Jason Mraz gave a teen with cystic fibrosis a sweet surprise to cheer her up. On Sunday, December 9, the "I'm Yours" hitmaker visited a children hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, and set aside time to serenade eighteen-year-old Madison Taliaferro who is waiting for her second double-lung transplant.

Sharing two videos from the surprise visit was Madison's mother, Desiree. On her Facebook account, she posted one video in which Jason belted "Have It All" which she described in the accompanying post as "lovely and inspiring." In the second video, the 41-year-old singer sang "I'm Yours".

Recalling the surprise itself, Desiree detailed, "Madison received such a very beautiful gift today. All of her nurses in the PICU schemed to get Jason Mraz to come up and sing to her. They all know she loves musicals and just overly enjoys singing." She went on to note, "It was a great end to her day," before adding, "Perhaps, they will jumpstart this call and this next miracle to occur."

A GoFundMe campaign for Madison's surgery revealed that the teen was born with the terminal genetic illness. She underwent her first double-lung transplant surgery in 2012. However, after six years, her body went into chronic rejection that caused her lung function to decline from 48% to 22.5%. It left her with two options. One of which puts her in a transplant list despite the risks.

In her Facebook post about Mraz's visit, Desiree noted despite the hardship, "Madison has been such a trooper through all of this and continues to be the nuts and bolts of our family." She added that her daughter "loves deeply and unconditionally and I love her so very much for being such a huge inspiration to all those hearts she touches."

Madison wasn't the only patient at the St. Louis hospital visited by Jason though. On the same day, the former fiance of Tristan Prettyman also sang for two other patients named Madalyn and Chrisionna. The hospital shared photos of the meeting on its facebook page along with a note that read, "Thank you Jason and Y98 St. Louis for making this one of Madalyn and Chrisionna's best todays."
