AceShowbiz - Tennis ace Venus Williams has reached a settlement with the family of the man who died in a car accident she was involved in last year.
According to court documents filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, and obtained by TMZ, Jerome Barson's estate officials reached a deal with Venus last week (ends November 16) that will cover certain expenses.
Both sides have agreed to cover their own attorneys' fees in the wrongful death suit.
Barson was a passenger in a sedan that collided with Venus' vehicle as she drove through an intersection.
The athlete was cleared of criminal charges after police officials determined she was caught in the middle of the intersection when traffic lights turned red.
Jerome died from his injuries 14 days after the accident. His wife, Linda, who was also injured, was behind the wheel.
