It seems like fans will be introduced to an alternate univese in which Oliver is The Flash, and Barry is Green Arrow.

AceShowbiz - Things are about to get interesting in upcoming Arrowverse TV Crossover event "Elseworlds". New set photos reveal an intriguing plot between Stephen Amell's Arrow and Grant Gustin's The Flash as they were snapped donning each other's costumes.

Coming from Hollywood North, the picture that was taken at the show's Vancouver Art Gallery set featured Amell in the red pants as the Scarlett Speedster. The Emerald Archer depicter looked somehow uncomfortable in the suit, which is more revealing to his character's plausible leather suit.

Meanwhile, Grant was seen suiting up in full Green Arrow costume. At one point, he was photographed riding a motorbike. Also spotted on the set was Melissa Benoist who was in her Supergirl costume.

As to why they decide to swap suits remains to be seen. But it seems like fans will be introduced to an alternate univese in which Oliver is The Flash, and Barry is Green Arrow. The Arrow/The Flash switch was apparently teased in previously-released promo poster.

"Elseworlds" is set to bring the proud DC Comics tradition of exploring other realities and storylines for DC heroes, which would never occur in the timeline of main canon. Fans have been widely speculating that the 3-night TV event will be feature some great stories which include character changes and some great characters switches and mashups.

Joining The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl in the upcoming crossover are Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), a doctor at Arkham Asylum named Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davie), Nora Fries (Cassandra Jean Amell) and The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett).

This year's crossover is set to begin on Sunday, December 9 with "The Flash" at 8 P.M. It will later be followed by an "Arrow" episode on Monday, December 10 at 8 P.M. "Supergirl" will conclude on the following night at 8 P.M. on The CW.
